Uh-oh. Look what “skated” right past me!
The Downtown Sacramento Ice Rink is now open (in fact, they opened on Wednesday, November 6th–last week! I somehow missed the email–that puts me on the “naughty” list, for sure!).
And from now through Monday, January 20th, guests get to put on their skates and have fun.
This weekend is a special event, as well: the rink hosts their annual “Princess & Superhero Day”, this Saturday, Nov. 16th!
Skaters of all ages are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite princesses or superheroes, and from noon till 2 pm, they’ll get a chance to skate with special guests including Elsa, Anna, Captain America, and Spiderman.
The rink, located between the Old Sacramento Waterfront Christmas tree and the SAFE
Credit Union Performing Arts Center, will be open Tuesdays through Sundays. Here’s a link for hours and more information.
AND–veterans and active military members get to skate free, daily, as do members of the Sacramento Kings Kids Club All-Stars.
Some additional discounts are available (including $2 off admission when you bring your own skates!), and general admission, which remains unchanged from last year, includes skate rental.
Happy gliding, and I look forward to telling you more about Downtown Sacramento’s additional Christmas festivities in a future post!
The Downtown Sacramento Ice Rink, located in Ali Youssefi Square, at 7th & K Streets, is open Tuesdays through Thursdays, from 2:00 to 9:00 pm, and Fridays through Sundays, 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. Tickets are available at the rink, and there are special hours during the week of November 25th, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and Martin Luther King Day. Here’s the link for information.
