Twelve Days of Creativity

Create something special, get in the Christmas spirit, and have fun.

That’s what it’s all about at CRAFTED, in San Pedro, these last two weekends before Christmas.

CRAFTED at the Port of Los Angeles is San Pedro’s year-round crafts marketplace.   And they’re currently celebrating the “Twelve Days of CRAFTSmas,” with a series of hands-on weekend workshops with their talented artists.

Their next workshop happens this afternoon, December 14th, from 2 to 4, with Lindsay Z. of Wood Brain, who will be showing attendees how to make a unique Christmas postcard, for sending or decorating!

Then, tomorrow afternoon, December 15th,  from 2 to 4, Gus from Knotical Arts will be using his seafaring skills to teach his students how to create a nautical-themed Christmas ornament from a simple mariner’s knot.

Want something with a little more “bling” on your tree, or as a stocking stuffer?  Jen, from Jen’s Jewels, can help in that department..

All do-it-yourself workshops at CRAFTED at the Port of Los Angeles are free, but there is a small materials fee, as noted on these brochures.

And while you’re at CRAFTED, you might want to stay  and treat yourself to something special as you “Sip and Shop” this evening!  CRAFTED has some extended hours on Fridays, so they’ll be open till 8:00 tonight.  They have a different DJ spinning tunes every weekend–tonight and tomorrow,  it’s DJ Frank FoReal, from 5 to 8 pm.  This Sunday afternoon, acoustic quartet Lilies of the West will be performing Appalachian and Christmas music from 2 to 5 p.m.

Enjoy!  And if you can, please bring a new, unwrapped toy with you.  This is the final weekend of CRAFTED’s Holiday Toy Drive.
