Smiles, joy and candy are Custom Crazy Candy Cakes proprietor Jalene Ressegue’s specialties.
Her unique creations are work-intensive, colorful and a lot of fun.
But there’s one misconception: “cake” is not part of the equation.
Jalene starts with a theme, chooses different types of candy and arranges the confections, accordingly, on a layered base. Her “cakes” are actually candy towers, and they’re customized for Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving, birthdays, graduations, Valentine’s Day…
…as well as any other themes that appeal to her clients, with whom she works closely to bring their ideas to life.
And the results–as you’ll see on her Instagram and TikTok channels–are spectacular. (I personally loved her Wicked-themed candy cake and her Girl Scout cookie one, but you’re likely to find some of your own favorites!)
Jalene, who is a member of nonprofit Torrance Craftsmen’s Guild, will be exhibiting her work at their 56th Annual “Arts and Crafts Fall Faire”, on Saturday, November 15th and Sunday, November 16th. Admission is free, and you will be wowed by her creations–as well as the work of the numerous additional talented members of Torrance Craftsmen’s Guild!
Jalene shared the story of Custom Crazy Candy Cakes, offered a closer look at her creative process, and even offered a Christmastime decorating tip, based on her talents for coordinating colors to create something magical!
