The scent of pine, the sound of laughter, and a lot of chugging and cries of ” All aboooard!”<\/p>\n

They’re all going to be a part of Small Business Saturday today, at Irvine Park Railroad<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Their Christmas Train runs now through December 23rd, shuttling visitors to the North Pole.\u00a0 As might be expected, you’ll get to visit with two special guests.<\/p>\n

And, if you’re in the market for a Christmas tree, their Christmas Tree Ranch is ready to help in that department.<\/p>\n

They have Douglas, Grand and Noble fir trees available for sale, from now through December 23rd, according to their website.\u00a0 Christmas wreaths and garlands are also available.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, you might like to put Irvine Park Railroad on your calendar for some family California Christmas activities.<\/p>\n

Christmas stories read by Mrs. Claus, Christmas cookie decorating and even ice fishing are all going to be a part of the fun as the “Christmas train” makes its rounds through Irvine Park.\u00a0 There will be a free coloring corner for the kids, and photo opportunities with both Santa and Mrs. Claus.\u00a0 (You may bring your own camera, or pay to have a professional photograph taken onsite.)\u00a0 And, kids can fill out a “wish list” for Santa here,<\/a> and bring it along, courtesy of Irvine Park Railroad!<\/p>\n

But, of course, besides Santa, here is the star of the show.<\/p>\n

Look magical?\u00a0 That’s only because it is.\u00a0 After a visit with Santa at the North Pole, the Christmas Train takes visitors back through the Tunnel of Lights.<\/p>\n

Now, the Christmas Train is showing sold out for this weekend, and here’s one warning: you cannot purchase tickets at the train station, in advance, for a future date.\u00a0 Advance sales are online only.<\/p>\n

So, please check this link for information,<\/a> on the dates you and your family would like to ride.\u00a0 Tickets are for specific times, and are nonrefundable.\u00a0 (In the event of the “Christmas Train” not being sold out on a future date when you come to the park, tickets are sold at the station from 4 pm on, on a first-come, first-serve basis.)<\/p>\n

Irvine Park Railroad’s Christmas Train runs evenings, now through December 23rd.\u00a0 The Christmas Tree Ranch will be open through Wednesday, December 23rd, as well.\u00a0 Irvine Park Railroad is located inside Irvine Regional Park, at 1 Irvine Park Road, in the foothills of Orange.\u00a0 Their cross streets are Chapman Avenue and Jamboree Road.\u00a0 Park hours are 6:00 am to 6:00 pm; here’s a link to their park map and directions.<\/a>\u00a0 The Christmas Tree Ranch is open daily at 10:00 am.
