\n\"Paula<\/a>We have some wonderful news.<\/p>\n

Remember our earlier interview<\/a> with designer Paula Bennett, of Paula Crochet Fashion<\/a>?\u00a0 She teaches free crochet and knitting classes–and all she asks in return, is that her students pass on the techniques she’s taught them.<\/p>\n

Paula’s website<\/a>, for her volunteer organization yes4arts, is now up and running!\u00a0 She emailed that the site started in January, 2015. \u00a0 And this summer, her dream of a fashion show, featuring her fiber-arts creations, will become a reality.<\/p>\n

Save the date–it is–ta-dah!\u00a0 Saturday, July 25, from 6 to 10 pm, at Torrance Cultural Center’s Toyota Meeting Hall.<\/p>\n

Paula says her “Fiber Arts Fashion Show” will feature the work of two main designers: herself and Jodi Beth Gilbert, of All Tied Up Custom Corsetry & Costumes<\/a>.\u00a0 It’s going to be an evening of entertainment, fun and, of course, fabulous fashion.<\/p>\n

She also says that a hundred percent of the proceeds, from the show, will go to benefit\u00a0 yes4arts, which currently features free sewing instruction, in addition to her earlier offerings of knitting and crocheting classes.\u00a0 A quilting class is planned, for 2016.<\/p>\n

Can’t go to the fashion show, but you’d like to help support Paula in her outreach to schools, group homes and senior centers?\u00a0 She can use a few good volunteers–along with donations of yarn, crochet hooks and knitting needles.\u00a0 Here’s a link<\/a> with more information.<\/p>\n
