And it’s all about community–and giving back.<\/p>\n

\"bowls2\"<\/a>Gayle and Regina opened their new creative space, Seaside Studios San Pedro<\/a>, in April of this year.\u00a0\u00a0 Besides showcasing each artist’s line, Seaside Studios San Pedro<\/a> offers art classes and special events.\u00a0 They also have open-studio hours–and this Christmas, not only are they showcasing Gayle’s imaginative jewelry and accessories for her Aussie Girl Designs…<\/a><\/p>\n

\"gayle<\/a>…and Regina’s colorful and beautiful Port Town Pottery<\/a> ceramics…<\/p>\n

\"regina<\/a>…they’re also involved in a creative community project, with which they’d like your help.<\/p>\n

\"in<\/a>Gayle and Regina are currently offering everyone an opportunity to come into their studios and glaze a ceramic bowl, for free, as part of the nationwide Empty Bowls Project<\/a>.\u00a0 The Empty Bowls Project is a grassroots effort to feed people in need.\u00a0 \"bowls2\"<\/a> \"bowls<\/a>So, Regina and Gayle are providing these bowls to be used in a fundraiser soup supper, in February, to benefit Harbor Interfaith Services<\/a>–a San Pedro nonprofit which helps the homeless and working poor.\u00a0 At this writing, they could use at least seventy more glazed bowls.\u00a0\u00a0 They’ll be continuing to have open-studio hours on Saturdays in December, and possibly into early January.\"closeup<\/a>Gayle and Regina talked about their backgrounds as artists, the genesis of their new creative space and some of the steps on their entrepreneurial journey.<\/p>\n
