Glassblowing.\u00a0 What comes to mind when you hear that word?<\/p>\nhttps:\/\/noelophile.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/audio\/Maria_Enomoto_Noelophile_1_revision.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n

Did you think, “working with a partner”?\u00a0 Or “2100-degree molten glass”?\u00a0 Or “you get about ten seconds to shape it as you want”?<\/p>\n

Probably not.\u00a0 But all of those are realities of the craft, says San Francisco-based glass artist Maria Enomoto<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And working with those realities, she’s created some breathtakingly beautiful things.<\/p>\n

My personal favorites are on her “other” page, on her website:<\/a>\u00a0 some almost-liquid blues and greens.\u00a0 I also really liked the rock candy-like shapes with rainbow colors, for one of her plates.\u00a0 Containers, cups, glasses and bowls are just a few of the other items she crafts in the studio.<\/p>\n
