The Great American Kids’ Bike Parade<\/a> is back!\u00a0 And so are the Kids’ Patriotic Speech Contest and Costume Contest, for Independence Day.<\/p>\n

This Sunday, July 4th, Long Beach “Chief Inspiration Officer” Justin Rudd will once again host all three free events. through hia nonprofit Community Action Team.\u00a0 The starting point will be Granada Beach Parking lot, in front of Rosie’s Dog Beach.\u00a0 (1 Granada Avenue, at East Ocean Boulevard.) Parking for the event is free.<\/p>\n

\"Bike<\/a><\/p>\n

All ages are invited to participate in the parade.\u00a0 Please consider bringing a can of tuna or a jar of peanut butter, for Community Action Team to donate to local food banks.<\/p>\n

Registration is required, for these free events.\u00a0 Here’s the link for more information, and to register<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"Long<\/a>Now, how will this work?\u00a0 According to Justin’s web page, the Kids’ Patriotic Speech Contest happens at 9:40 that morning.\u00a0 Speeches are limited to 90 seconds, max.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Then, at 9:50, the Kids’ Patriotic Costume Contest happens.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

And then, at 10:00–it’s off to the bike path!<\/p>\n

\"Long<\/a><\/p>\n

And you’re not limited to biking.\u00a0 Scooters, wagons, strollers and wheelchairs are also invited.<\/p>\n

The Bike Parade generally lasts about 30 minutes, with prizes awarded at 10:30, for the best speech and the best patriotic costume.<\/p>\n

And if you’d like too help with the parade and coordination of the events, volunteers are needed! \u00a0 Volunteers are requested to be onsite by 9:20 am on the 4th, at 1 Granada.\u00a0 Contact justin@justinrudd if you can help.<\/p>\n
