A professional Christmas concert is just about to happen in Long Beach.<\/p>\n

And this is a Christmas gift to the community, from Justin Rudd and his nonprofit Community Action Team<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0 Here’s a preview from Justin–and a look at two other special Christmastime events which CAT sponsors!<\/p>\nhttps:\/\/noelophile.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Justin-Rudd-Noelophile-2019.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n

Now–the free program?\u00a0 It’s called the “Joy to the World” concert<\/a>.\u00a0 This year’s edition happens this Sunday evening, December 15th, at Bay Shore Community Church in Long Beach’s Belmont Shore area.<\/p>\n

Twenty-five brass and percussion musicians, from all over Southern Californis, will offer their free “Joy to the World” concert.\u00a0 This is a ninety-minute program of Christmas favorites, with some Hanukkah selections and, possibly, some holiday music you haven’t heard before.<\/p>\n

Admission and parking are free, but please bring a nonperishable donation of healthy canned food for the local food bank. Or, if you prefer, pet food or pet toys, as “Operation Santa Paws” happens next week!<\/p>\n

And if you’re a baker, please also consider bringing a plate of cookies by the church, for the “Long Beach Christmas Cookie Contest<\/a>“, happening at the church at 6:00, just before the concert.<\/p>\n

Why “waitlist”?\u00a0 This hugely-popular professional concert is a Long Beach tradition, and plays to a capacity crowd every year.\u00a0 But there’s a good chance you may get tickets if you waitlist.\u00a0 And if you don’t, you can also stand in line in the church’s covered patio area, near the office.\u00a0 Volunteers will seat additional guests as seating becomes available.<\/p>\n
