Remember summers, when you were a kid?  After awhile, there was nothing to do.

Cultural Alliance of Long Beach remembers–and they’re doing something creative about it.

This month marks their inaugural Summer Youth Program, for middle-school and high-school students. with classes in calligraphy, perspective drawing and cardmaking..

Next Monday morning, July 14th, at 10, they’ll be offering a two-and-a-half-hour “Intro to Calligraphy” class for high school students.  Then, on Wednesday, the 16th, there will be an “Intro to Calligraphy” class for middle-school students.

CALB is also offering a two-hour “Intro to Perspective Drawing” class, every Monday and Wednesday afternoon in July.  Classes meet at 1:00, and both middle-schoolers and high-school students are welcome.
